Greg Houston is President and Chief Executive Officer of Lakeside – a market leader in the Process Automation industry and the exclusive Local Business Partner of Emerson in Ontario, Manitoba and the Kivalliq region of Nunavut.  Greg’s leadership at Lakeside spans more than nine years, as he guided what once started as a small control valves sales representative in Torontoto a central-Canada-wide organization providing complete automations solutions with over 280 people located in eight facilities.

Under Greg’s administration, Lakeside has been recognized as a platinum member of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for 16 consecutive years and has earned the distinction for Best Workplaces in Canada since 2010.  Throughout his tenure as President and CEO, Greg’s approach to organizational and sales development has been integral in expanding Lakeside’s portfolio and capabilities. He is a firm believer in the importance of employee engagement and its inherent link to organizational productivity and success. In November 2010, Greg led Lakeside’s acquisition of Arctic Combustion Ltd. – a provider of engineering and related services designed to solve industrial boiler, combustion and energy optimization solutions. Further strengthening Lakeside’s continuous growth, Greg fronted the relocation and opening of Lakeside’s new head office in Mississauga in 2014, which almost doubled in size to 80,000 square feet of office and warehouse space.

Greg started his career at Lakeside as an Application Engineer in 1991. After performing many different sales and management roles, Greg was promoted to Vice President and General Manager in 2006, where he was instrumental in leading the merger of Controltech and the creation of Lakeside Industrial Services Ltd. (today known as Asset Reliability Services).

Greg currently sits on the Executive Advisory Board of FIRST Robotics Canada. He has been an avid runner for the past 25 years and has competed in numerous marathons, half marathons and 10 km races.
